Tattyfilarious videos will be shared with the public on Saturday

Thursday's second lockdown has put an end to live performances in celebration of Liverpool’s Doddy Day – so the event is moving online instead.

The centrepiece of Doddy Day – this weekend would have seen the late comedy hero’s 93rd birthday – was to have been The Happiness Show at Liverpool’s Royal Court on Saturday afternoon. Now everybody can go here instead at 2pm to see videos of interviews, performances and jam butty cakes.

The videos include footage from Harry Hill, Lee Mack, Miriam Margolyes, Nichola McAuliffe, Ricky Tomlinson, Stephanie Cole, Stephen K Amos and Tim Vine, who relate their special memories of Sir Ken and share jokes.

There will also be gags from joke competition finalists – and chefs Dave Assall from the Royal Court and James Behan from the Museum of Liverpool will go head-to-head in a Jam Butty Cake Bake Off, judged by Lady Dodd and Ready, Steady, Cook chef Ellis Barrie. The show will be hosted by Les Dennis and Sam Avery from the Comedy Trust.
