..and starts things with a good old-fashioned whodunnit...
Oldham Coliseum has announced its first online “digital season” for this spring, using interactivity and digital technology to entertain audiences.
And for the latest form of theatre storytelling the Coliseum has come up with one of the oldest forms of theatre story – the whodunnit.
From April 9-25 the Coliseum and Front Room Productions present Whodunnit at the Coliseum? – a tongue-in-cheek, interactive murder mystery set at the theatre in 1954, on the opening night of The Scottish Play. Moments before curtain up, front of house manager Edward Fitch is found dead, and it’s up to the viewer to figure out whodunnit.
“While we’ve been closed we’ve remained busy creating opportunities for all of our audiences to enjoy, and this spring will be no different,” said spokeswoman Shelly Ramsdale.
“But it was great to hear the Government’s new roadmap to recovery earlier this week. The encouraging news is that we can now start to make real plans for reopening the theatre.”.
