Bodyguard cast and tour dates announced

International leading lady Sidonie Smith will head the cast as stalked superstar Rachel Marron - with Olivier award nominee Adam Garcia as the bodyguard protecting her from an unknown stalker - on the latest 2025-26 UK tour of romantic thriller musical The Bodyguard.

Northern dates for the tour include Blackpool Opera House (October 1-4); Manchester Opera House (January 19-31, 2026); Sheffield Lyceum (February 10-14); Sunderland Empire (April 27-May 2), Venue Cymru, Llandudno (June 1-6); Bradford Alhambra (June 8-13), Liverpool Empire (June 15-20) and Newcastle Theatre Royal (July 27-August 1).

Sidonie Smith has starred in The Bodyguard in Germany to critical acclaim, and her other theatre credits include West Side Story, Cabaret, Sister Act, Chicago, Aida, Jesus Christ Superstar, Legally Blonde and Sweeney Todd, all in productions across Germany and Austria.

Adam Garcia recently starred as Caractacus Potts in the UK tour of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, he and also appeared in Saturday Night Fever and Kiss Me, Kate – both Olivier nominated. He was also in Kenneth Branagh’s films Death on the Nile and Murder on the Orient Express, and he recently finished second in the UK series of The Masked Dancer.

The tour also features Sasha Monique as Nicki Marron and Coronation Street and Hollyoaks actor Matt Milburn as Sy Spector. Rachel Marron will be played by Mireia Mambo at certain performances.

The Bodyguard features popular classics including Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, Run to You, I Have Nothing, I Wanna Dance with Somebody and one of the biggest hit songs of all time – I Will Always Love You. The stage how has been seen by 3.9 million people in 15 countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, South Korea, Canada, Italy, Australia, Spain, France, the US, Austria and Japan.
