Bolton Octagon has launched a festive appeal, the proceeds from which will provide opportunities for young people in 2023.
With a target of £5000, the Octagon is asking for public donations by text, online or in-person at the theatre. The programme provides support and opportunities to local communities, and the appeal money will be invested in more creative opportunities for local young people over the next 12 months.
Octagon’s artistic director Lotte Wakeham explained: “Not everyone has access to the arts and the life-enhancing benefits it provides. Our festive appeal this year hopes to raise money that can offer arts activities and also provide an outlet to be creative, build confidence and learn other vital life skills.
“We have an ambitious target, which we hope to raise by the end of January, so all donations will be greatly appreciated.”
