Cast and creatives for Bank of Dave The Musical

Initial casting and creative talents have been revealed for Bank Of Dave The Musical, which premieres at the Lowry in Salford in May (2-16).

Originally a Sunday Times bestseller, then Netflix's top UK movie, Dave’s inspiring underdog story now takes to the stage. The show tells the true-ish story of Dave Fishwick: the self-made Burnley millionaire, who spent years helping local people and small businesses when hard-nosed banks turned them away. Frustrated by the system, he had an idea to set up his own bank and put the profits straight back into his community.

The musical's book and lyrics are by Rob Madge (My Son’s a Queer (But What Can You Do?), Cabaret); with music and lyrics by Pippa Cleary (The Great British Bake Off Musical, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾) and will be directed by Leicester Curve's artistic director, Nikolai Foster (Kinky Boots, A Chorus Line).

The cast so far includes Hayley Tamaddon (Coronation Street, Everybody’s Talking About Jamie); Lucca Chadwick-Patel (My Beautiful Laundrette, Mamma Mia!); Claire Moore (Miss Saigon, The Girls) and Lauryn Redding (Standing at the Sky’s Edge ). Further cast members, including "Dave" himself, are still to be announced.
