With only five and a half months until Christmas, theatre company Mischief has announced the cast for its new festive fiasco, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, which opens at Salford's Lowry in November (2-8).
The multi-award-winning company, which currently has two hugely-successful shows running in the West End (The Play That Goes Wrong, now in its 11th year and The Comedy About Spies (Noel Coward Theatre until September) – will turn Christmas into chaos with Matt Cavendish, Daniel Fraser, Sasha Frost, Chris Leask, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Greg Tannahill, with Nancy Zamit and Dumile Sibanda sharing the role of Annie.
This new Goes Wrong comedy brings the chaos of the Cornley Amateur Drama Society back to the stage courtesy of writers Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer and Henry Shields, members of the original Goes Wrong company.
The Cornley crew will battle miscommunication, set delays, actors missing in action and a growing feud over who will play the lead in the disastrous take on the much-loved classic Christmas story of Ebenezer Scrooge. After its Salford premiere, Christmas Carol Goes Wrong embarks on a short UK tour before a seven-week run in the West End.
