"Corrie" legend Helen Worth - aka Gail Platt, the 50-year veteran of Coronation Street from 1974-2024 - will be in conversation with fellow Corrie star Julie Hesmoldhalgh for a special fund raiser at Manchester's award-winning Hope Mill Theatre on March 29.
Chatting for the first time about her record-breaking half century with the soap, the conversation will raise funds for the theatre's community outreach programmes.
Helen said: "I’m really looking forward to coming back to Manchester for a good chat with Julie, especially as it’s in support of Hope Mill Theatre."
Hope Mill artistic director, Joseph Houston, said: “We're thrilled and honoured to have Helen Worth in her first live conversation about her incredible career.
"There is no denying the cultural impact the character of Gail Platt had over her 50 year spell on the cobbles, and we can’t wait to have audiences come and hear Helen share her story.
"The cherry on the cake is having long-term Hope Mill supporter Julie Hesmondhalgh leading the evening; it really is an event not to be missed.”
