Manchester arts centre HOME will stage the Little HOME Festival (August 2-3), a free celebration of creativity, community, and connection for families across the region featuring street performers, family films, theatre, crafts, activities, hands-on workshops and interactive shows.
Highlights include Big Bad Wolf - a twist on classic fairy tales, in this one he's much misunderstood; Campfire Tales - a Journey into the world of traditional folk tales; a Dhol Drum and Bhangra Workshop, drum to your heart's content, and the neighbours won't complain; Family Crafts - make a mask, design a summer fan, craft a celebration card and more; panto dame Mama G’s Storytime Spectacular;
Robot Rock, in which recycled materials become robot art, and Skylight Circus - a fun workshop for children aged 4 to adult. Shows and workshops run from 10am-4pm each day, with family film screenings from 2pm. Though the weekend is free, some events require tickets, bookable on the HOME website.
