Bolton Octagon is holding a volunteer recruitment open day this weekend, to find people interested in getting involved in their local theatre.
Being a volunteer includes greeting and seating audience members, checking tickets, assisting with access requirements and being responsible for audience safety and comfort before a show, at the interval and as they leave. No prior experience is required – full training will be given.
There are two sessions on March 12, at 11am and 2pm. Anyone interested should book a place on one of the sessions by visiting the website at the link below
The sessions will include an introduction to the Octagon team, a tour of the building, an informal chat and skills-based activities. The sessions will give a full overview of what the role entails.
Customer experience manager, Andrew Hughes said: “Volunteers are pivotal members of our customer experience team. Joining us provides an opportunity to learn new skills and meet new people, while playing an important role in ensuring our visitors and audiences have an enjoyable experience.”
