Kym Marsh - formerly of Coronation Street fame, and the star of the recent Manchester Royal Exchange production of Abigail’s Party - will star from the New Year in the world premiere stage production of thriller Single White Female, based on the 1992 psychological movie thriller.

Tour dates so far include York's Grand Opera House (February 3-7, 2026) and Manchester Opera House (February 10-14). Other northern dates, still to be confirmed, will include York Grand Opera House, Sheffield Lyceum, Blackpool Opera House and Liverpool Empire.

Kym said: "I remember being gripped by the movie when I first saw it and could never have imagined then that I’d be starring in the world premiere of its life on stage.

"Get ready to be thrilled, shocked and entertained - and watch out for those stiletto heels!”

Kym plays Allie, a recently-divorced mother, balancing being a single parent with the launch of her tech start up. When she decides to advertise for a lodger to help make ends meet, Hedy offers her a lifeline. But as their lives intertwine, a seemingly perfect arrangement begins to unravel.

Written by author, journalist and broadcaster Rebecca Reid, the stage version is a reimagining of the movie and best-selling novel by John Lutz that thrilled audiences and led a generation to fear a stiletto heel!
