York Theatre Royal has launched its 2026 Main Stage Summer, offering young people aged 8-19 the chance to experience performing or backstage work. The courses - the first since 2019 - will see young people collaborate with professional to create a special show for the main stage

Throughout the course the youngsters will learn new skills, build confidence and make friends, before sharing their work with family, friends and York Theatre Royal audiences.
