Dance Consortium - the association of 24 large-scale venues in the UK and Ireland - is to bring MAM by Michael Keegan-Dolan on a nine-stop tour of the UK, beginning at Salford's Lowry
(February 3-4 - the only northern stop).

The show premiered at Sadler’s Wells in 2020 and was nominated for an Olivier award for best new dance production. This is the first time Dance Consortium has toured a company from Ireland.
Keegan-Dolan moved his company, Teac Damsa, from the Irish midlands to West Kerry in 2019, and his connection to its language, landscape, musical traditions and people is embedded in the piece. Eleven dancers, with traditional concertina player Cormac Begley and European classical contemporary collective s t a r g a z e, will perform to 16 traditional West Kerry folk songs, from The Races of Ballyhooly to The Morning Dew.
