Keswick’s Theatre by the Lake autumn season is proving so popular the venue is increasing the number of full-capacity performances.
The theatre's "guaranteed socially distanced" shows will all remain, but all other shows in the calendar have been sold with social distancing in place and a warning that they could be changed to full capacity if demand increased – and it has.
Award-winning comedy Home I’m Darling has proved a big hit and now eight more performances will change to full capacity: October 22 (7.30pm); October 23 (7.30pm); October 25 (7.30pm); October 27 (7.30pm); October 28 (7.30pm); October 29 (2.30pm and 7.30pm), and October 30 (7.30pm).
This leaves these performances with guaranteed social distancing: October 19 (2.30pm and 7.30pm); October 20 (7.30pm); October 21 (7.30pm); October 22 (2.30pm); October 26 (2.30pm and 7.30pm).
There’s also a filmed, online performance of Home I’m Darling available from October 23-30.
For November show Jacaranda, three performances will now be full capacity – November 11-13 (all 7.30pm). Socially distanced performances will take place on November 4 (7.30pm); November 5, (2.30pm and 7.30pm); November 8 (7.30pm); November 9 (7.30pm); November 10 (2.30pm and 7.30pm), and November 12 (2.30pm).
TBTL’s artistic director Liz Stevenson said: “We’re delighted our audiences are coming back in such numbers. We’ve worked hard to ensure there are options for everybody and that our Covid safety measures are robust. We’ve had fantastic feedback from audiences and it’s just wonderful to have the building buzzing with audiences and activity again.”
