Helen George – Call the Midwife’s Trixie – is back on Salford's Lowry stage (September 22-October 3, but not September 25 and 26) in a tour of Cole Porter’s High Society, direct from a record-breaking summer at London’s Barbican and two years after her starring success in The King and I at the Salford venue. Before Salford the tour visits Leeds Grand (August 25-29).

Described as “pure musical theatre escapism”, the show features Porter classics “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire”, “I Love Paris”, “Well Did You Evah?!”, “Just One Of Those Things”, “Let’s Misbehave”, “You’re Sensational”, and “True Love” - a list many modern composers would be happy to list as career highlights, let alone one show's worth...
With music and lyrics by Porter and a book by Arthur Kopit, the musical promises champagne-sparkled evenings, razor-sharp comedy and a heady cocktail of romance, wit and musical charm.
Legendary choreographer Anthony Van Laast (Mamma Mia!, Kiss Me, Kate) and renowned director Rachel Kavanaugh are behind the show, alongside musical director Stephen Ridley (The King and I, Anything Goes).
Joining Helen George are Freddie Fox (Slow Horses, House of the Dragon), Nigel Lindsay, Julian Ovenden, Malcolm Sinclair, David Seadon-Young, Naomi Pacquette, Carly Mercedes Dyer and Josafina Gabriella.
