Set in a working hotel, immersive theatre hit I Do from theatre company Dante or Die invites audiences to step inside six rooms in which the final moments of wedding preparation unfold in parallel: the best man’s speech collapsing under pressure; the bride0 torn between nerves and expectation, and family secrets rippling through the corridors.
Dante or Die (DoD) is an award winning, internationally recognised theatre company specialising in creating and touring unique site-specific performances. Since 2006 their live productions have won multiple awards.
Marking the 20th birthday of the site-specific immersive theatre company hit show I Do is on a tour of UK hotels, checking in at the Manchester Piccadilly Malmaison next month (February 18-22).
Split into small groups, audiences move between rooms, uncovering fragments of a tangled family story as they observe a series of intimate, overlapping stories.
Presented with Salford's Lowry, the event runs for around 90 minutes with no interval and is suitable for those 14 and over.
