Multi Olivier award-winning musical Sunny Afternoon is back on the road this autumn, with a mix of familiar faces and newcomers in the iconic roles of the four members of legendary UK pop band The Kinks.
The tour starts at the Palace Theatre in Manchester in October (11-18), and can also be seen at the Sunderland Empire (November 4-8), York Grand Opera House (November 11-15), Leeds Grand (February 24-28, 2026), Stockton Globe (April 14-18), Blackpool Grand (April 28-May 2) and Liverpool Empire (May 19-23).
Danny Horn returns to play The Kinks’ lead singer, songwriter and guitarist Ray Davies, having starred in the role for over a year in the West End and having most recently played Ray Davies in the North American premiere production in Chicago.
Oliver Hoare also returns to play lead guitarist Dave Davies, having played alongside Danny in the US premiere and in the West End.
Harry Curley will play bassist Peter Quaife; he is currently in Sing Street in London and ha appeared in several other plays and musicals.
Making his professional debut, Zakarie Stokes will be keeping the beat alive as drummer Mick Avory.

Ray Davies said : “I’m pleased Danny and Oliver are rejoining the show after their brilliant run in Chicago and look forward to Harry and Zakarie joining them.”
Sunny Afternoon is set against the backdrop of Britain on the cusp of the rebellious 1960s and is a celebration of the music, life and band helped to change the face of pop music - the Kinks being recognised as one of the most important and influential British rock groups ever.
From their explosive start as part of the British Beat movement to forays into concept albums, stadium rock and acoustic balladeering the Kinks have left a legacy of classic songs, from Waterloo Sunset to Days, as well as many others, all featured in the show.
