Minor Spillage Productions had success with new play Wedding Bells last year, winning the best solo show award at the Carnforth Fringe Festival and lots of audience laughter along the way.

Minor Spillage is an up-and-coming production company that creates podcasts, theatre and weekly prose.

The company brings the show to the Eagle Inn, Salford on August 13 for a single performance, but hopes to tour around the region in the next few months.

Wedding Bells writer, Alexander Akin, is an LGBT writer, director and performer who has put on two shows with Minor Spillage Productions in the past 12 months.

It’s Thomas’s wedding day - he's getting married to a beautiful woman named Emily, though there's a problem: he's in love with a man named Steven... Perhaps not surprisingly, the darkly comic, one-man show watches Thomas look back through his life leading up to his wedding day. Like a camp David Copperfield, he takes us from birth to adulthood, exploring love, sexuality and the dangers of hiding your identity along the way.

"Our production's an emotional, humorous and powerful one-man show that combines music, sound effects and stellar story-telling, allowing Alexander to take the audience on a journey of self-discovery," explained the company's Ryan Croughan.
