Experience outdoor immersive theatre this summer thanks to Contact Young Company, which is teaming up with arts collective Gobsquad for While We Were Waiting... Something Changed.
The "show" is an audiovisual "pod walk" that turns a smartphone into a portal, transporting the viewer to an alternative reality.
Exploring the rites of passage from adolescence to adulthood, the one-hour guided walk takes the audience on a route that starts and ends at the theatre, off Oxford Road, Manchester, passing through "transitory, transcendental and transformational landmarks" along the way.
The experience is available from July 28-30 and is recommended for those 16 and over.
