Multi-award-winning, razzle-dazzle musical Chicago will undertake a new marathon UK tour next year, with northern dates so far (the producers promise more) at Sheffield Lyceum (March 2-6, 2027); Liverpool Empire (March 24-27); Newcastle Theatre Royal (March 29-April 3); Manchester Opera House (May 25-29); Grand Opera House, York (May 31-June 5); Blackpool Opera House (June 7-12); Bradford Alhambra (June 21-26); Hull New Theatre (September 27-October 2); Venue Cymru, Llandudno (October 4-9) and Sunderland Empire (October 11-16).

Set in the decadence of the 1920s, Chicago is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Such is the corruption of the period that a smart lawyer and her good looks sway the jury...

Created by John Kander, Fred Ebb and choreographer Bob Fosse, the score includes the show-stopping songs Razzle Dazzle, Cell Block Tango and All That Jazz.

Winner of six Tony awards, two Olivier awards and a Grammy, Chicago is the longest-running American musical in Broadway and West End history. Since opening in New York in 1996, it has played in 38 countries and been performed in English, Dutch, German, Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Italian, French, Danish, Japanese and Korean. The show has been seen by an estimated 35 million people, grossed over $1.8 billion and played over 36,000 performances.
