First seen at the Octagon theatre in Bolton last summer, the award-winning touring production of Original Theatre Company and the Octagon's production of The Hound of the Baskervilles goes walkies, as it were, to Salford's Lowry Theatre from February 1-5.

Steven Canny and John Nicholson's adaptation of the classic thriller puts a farcical stamp on the tale and the touring show has received wide acclaim and great reviews.

A hit in the West End, the ingenious adaptation combines an exhilarating collision of farce, theatrical invention and comic performances.

The cast features Jake Ferretti as Sherlock Holmes, Niall Ransome as Dr. Watson and Serena Manteghi as the cursed Henry Baskerville.

Though the tour is directed by Tim Jackson, the Bolton production was directed by the Octagon's artistic director Lotte Wakeham, who said of it: “I’ve been blown away by the wonderful response to this production. It’s exactly the sort of joyful, energetic and entertaining show audiences are hungry for.”
