Em Stroud talks about life...

Em Stroud - the business of comedy

The Em Show - sub-titled "Tales from a Little Laughing Lesbian" - is an uplifting evening about how being brave and taking yourself out of your comfort zone will help you discover who you really are.

Em Stroud - also known as the Comic Coach - invites us to step out of our boring night in and into a night of laughter with her one-woman show full of stand-up, improvisation and clowning, delivered with the comedian's signature energy.

From therapy to parenting, marriage to motorbikes, no topic is off limits in a show for everyone - even those who aren't lesbians.

Em is at Manchester's 53two on March 5 and Viva, Blackpool on May 28 (as part of the Blackpool Comedy Festival) and other venues - see here.

For 20 years, Em has worked with business leaders and their teams to help them create more impact in their businesses and life. One day she realised that if she let down her own "walls", other people would do the same, and this led to her having a foot in both worlds, business and theatre-comedy - talking both to high-level business leaders and to audiences in shows performed in off-West-End venues.

Her first book Lessons From a Clown has been a best-seller, and she has spoken at two TEDx events (TEDx being a self-run version of the famous TED talks, under licence and in the same style). The first of her two lectures was the first, and so far only, such talk given by someone dressed as a banana...

Em also has two successful podcasts: Clowning Around and the recently-launched Comic Coach Podcast; she has also spoken and hosted events around the world for top executives from major companies.
