HOME Manchester's chief executive Dave Moutrey has added the chairmanship of the Theatres Trust to his other outside role as Manchester City Council's director of culture.

Alongside him as the second new member of the trust is Suba Das, the recently appointed creative director of Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse.

Moutrey said: "The Theatres Trust has a crucial role to play in helping to protect our heritage and advise on the design of new performance spaces, to make sure these important assets continue to serve their vital role at the heart of our communities and cultures.

"I am delighted, and honoured, to be joining the organisation as chair and to work with the trustees and team as we navigate challenges and opportunities across the UK."

Other new members of the trust include the Royal and Derngate’s artistic director, James Dacre, barrister Stephanie Hall, and set and costume designer Lucy Osborne.

The Theatres Trust’s director, Jon Morgan, said the new board members "bring an extraordinary array of skills and expertise that will complement and strengthen our existing board".

All will serve three-year terms.
