Ambassador Theatre Group has announced a production of movie thriller Fatal Attraction, starring former Corrie star Kym Marsh with Oliver Farnworth and former Footballer’s wife Susie Amy. The show will play Manchester's Opera House next February 21-26 and York's Grand Opera House in early May.

Kym, who sprang to pop fame as a member of band Hear’Say and became a TV favourite as Michelle Connor in Coronation Street, will play the iconic “bunny boiler” role of Alex Forrest, while Oliver plays her lover, Dan Gallagher and Susie Amy his wife Beth. Earlier this year Kym appeared in Kay Mellor's long-running BBC comedy- drama The Syndicate and has been presenting BBC One's hit day-time show Morning Live.

Oliver Farnworth has starred in a score of hit stage plays including: The Girl On The Train and The Marilyn Conspiracy, and he has been seen on TV in Endeavour and Coronation Street, while Susie Amy has appeared in US mini series La Femme Musketeer with Gerard Depardieu and Nastassja Kinski, and had a lead role in ITV's Echo Beach, as well as several other shows.

Fatal Attraction is the latest thriller from the producers of recent tours of Patrick Hamilton’s Gaslight and Patricia Highsmith’s Strangers on a Train, and is written by James Dearden, who has based the stage play on his Oscar-nominated screenplay.

One of the most iconic films of the era, Fatal Attraction was one of 1987’s highest grossing US box office releases, securing six major Oscar nominations at the following year’s Academy Awards.
