Performing arts companies and venues in Leeds can apply for grants worth £500-£2,500 from the local council under a long-running funding scheme.

The new grant package, Leeds Inspired Live, is part of the Leeds Inspired scheme that has been active since 2012, and aims to help live culture across Leeds when the pandemic lockdown lifts. Leeds Inspired has helped over 600 arts projects with £100-£10,000 awards, in the past seven years.

“This support package will be the catalyst for the creation of a new programme of safe, live events for Leeds, which will give our creative sector a lift while also boosting our local economy and giving people an added incentive to enjoy Leeds,” said Leeds council spokeswoman Mary Harland.

Applications are open now and can be made here
