Musical fun with the Gunpowder Plot

WIT? Theatre Company will take its hit comedy musical Remember, Remember! to the Godber Studio at Hull Truck Theatre for one night (June 18), as part of Hull
Truck's Pride Month programming.

The show tells the story, or very nearly, of Guy Fawkes and the Gunpowder Plot of November 1605, which in this retelling fails horribly with the help of some funny jokes and several songs.
The show has had two sold-out runs in London, where it won multiple five-star reviews and standing ovations. Comparisons have been made to Operation Mincemeat and Six for its irreverent, camp sense of fun, forbidden love and Lorraine Kelly...
WIT? [it apparently stands for Where is Tom?] Theatre Company consists of four actor-writers: Kluane Saunders, Tom O’Kelly, Lucy Buncombe and Ross Tomlinson, directed here by Alex Pritchett.
The four got together in 2024, when the cast met as writers and performers of the summer run of hit comedy NewsRevue at the Canal Cafe Theatre in London's Little Venice.
