Blood Brothers back on tour

Willy Russell's magnificent Liverpool-set musical Blood Brothers returns to touring from the autumn into 2027, with almost 30 stops at venues all over the country.
The legendary musical - written, composed and with lyrics by Russell - is often known as the "standing ovation musical', since audiences invariably rise to their feet cheering as the final curtain falls.

The show tells the stories of a poor mother who gives up one of her twin boys for adoption by a wealthy family, and the different paths the two boys then take in life.
Vivienne Carlyle returns to the role of Mrs Johnstone for the tour, while Kristofer Harding will appear as the Narrator, and audience favourites Sean Jones and Joe Sleight will play the Johnstone twins, Mickey and Eddie.

The tour comes to Chester Storyhouse from October 13-17; Sheffield Lyceum (February 2-6; New Brighton Floral Pavilion (february 9-13); Blackpool Winter Gardens (March 9-13, 2027); Manchester Palace (April 13-24) and Leeds Grand (May 11-15).
