Liverpool Everyman’s Robin Hood has won Best Pantomime (under 500 seats) at the national 2022 Pantomime Awards.

The Best Musical Direction award went to Jamie Noar for the same Everyman show, labelled a "rock and roll" panto and written by Sarah Nixon and Mark Chatterton.

Other northern winners were Celia Perkins' costume designs for Oldham Coliseum’s Aladdin; Alexandra Burke for Best Mythical Being in Aladdin at the Manchester Opera House, and Becca Lee-Isaacs for Best Early Career Newcomer as The Big Tiny in Robin Hood at Huddersfield's Lawrence Batley Theatre.

Between mid-November 2021 and late January, judges visited 207 across Great Britain and Northern Ireland venues to determine the winners of awards including Best Dame, Best Villain, Best Supporting Artist and Best Script.

This year’s ceremony, at the Trafalgar Theatre in London, was hosted by legendary Dame, Christopher Biggins.
