It's an early panto, just right for...Easter!

Hot on the heels of half-term pantomime The Wizard Of Oz, St Helens Theatre Royal has announced its second panto of 2022 so far – an Easter production of Peter Pan, starring Harrison Vaughan from TV's Greatest Dancer show.

Peter Pan, which runs from April 2-18, is based on JM Barrie’s classic about the boy who never grew up. Vaughan, who has many dance titles to his name and was overall runner-up on the TV talent contest, will play Peter Pan, alongside local favourites Lauren McCrory as Wendy; Mia Molly as Tiger Lily; Reece Sibbald as Smee; David Phipps Davis as Mrs Smee; Scott Gallagher as Captain Hook; and newcomer to the company Hayley Russell as Tink.

Harrison said: “Peter Pan was my first panto as a child! I played Nibs, the Lost Boy. It’s crazy to think I’m now playing Peter all these years later. It’s been so long since I’ve been on stage due to Covid, I’m so excited to be back performing.”

Theatre Manager Chantelle Nolan said: “Peter Pan is always a family favourite. It’s a show of pure escapism, on a thrilling adventure – and the exciting flying scenes are not to be missed.”

Peter Pan is the second of four pantomimes at the Theatre Royal this year. The others are Sleeping Beauty at October half-term and Cinderella at Christmas.
