Verve - the internationally touring postgraduate company of Leeds-based Northern School of Contemporary Dance – makes two appearances in the new season at dedicated dance house The Riley Theatre in Leeds.

Ranging from emerging local talent to international touring dance companies, there is plenty on offer. As well as works from international artists and companies, local communities continue to play an active role in shaping the programme and this season take to the stage to showcase their talents.
Highlights of the spring-summer season include:
Verve (March 1-2), a triple bill premiere performed by 18 dancers, which returns on May 24-25 to close the company's short tour.
Rendez Vous Dance (April 27), blends virtuosic movement choreographed by Mathieu Geffre, with live music from jazz singer Imogen Banks as part of Lesbian Visbility Week 2024.
Area Jeune Ballet (May 3), features 18 young dancers in two new works by Albanian choreographers Erion Kruja and Blenard Azizaj.
The Rescue: A Gecko Production (June 2-3) offers a new, devised production that delves into the characteristics of childhood trauma and explores what happens to these wounds in adulthood. It is performed by students on the MA Interdisciplinary Dance Performance course.
