Sirens of the Silver Screen has previously been seen in London, where it had successful runs in 2017 and 2019, and now heads north for its first appearance in Manchester, later this month

Writer and performer Beth Burrows will be at the city's 53two venue on May 23, with the possibility of more northern dates if the show is a hit.

The award-winning actor, singer and writer (she won an Off West End award in 2022 for best supporting performance), Beth's passion for theatre began at 14 in the National Youth Music Theatre.

After a degree in English and drama and professional training at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, the performer has appeared in productions such as The Devil May Care at Southwark Playhouse and a UK revival of Call Me Madam (Upstairs at the Gatehouse).

In 2015 Beth created this show, a one-woman cabaret exploring the lives of Judy Garland, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe. "Sirens" delves into the lives of three of the 20th Century's most iconic women: "Prepare to be transported to a world of Hollywood glamour," she says, "where fame, fate and misfortune all collide in story, song and cinema."

The show dives into the struggles, triumphs and tragedies that defined the Hollywood trio behind the scenes. One for fans ofHollywood's glamour days as well as fans of powerful live performance...
