Agatha Christie’s iconic thriller The Mousetrap starts a major UK tour from September 2026 to mark its 75th anniversary year.
The cast and creative team for the tour is still to be announced, but confirmed northern dates will include New Brighton's Floral Pavilion (October 19-24, 2026); Manchester's Palace Theatre (October 26-31); Sheffield Lyceum (November 2-7, 2026); Sunderland Empire (March 22-27, 2027) and York Grand Opera House (June 21-26, 2027). Dates are still being added to the list.
Since the play opened in London in 1952, the world's longest-running play has fascinated audiences with silent clues, shifting shadows and the best-kept secret in theatre history.
A shocking murder rattles London. Far from the chaos, a remote country guesthouse welcomes seven strangers seeking refuge. But when a police sergeant battles through a deadly snowstorm with a warning, it becomes clear the threat is already within their walls. As suspicion tightens its grip, one question chills the room: who among them is capable of murder?
Earlier this year the play celebrated its 30,000th performance in the West End and was presented with a Guinness World Records certificate for longest theatrical run.
